I love vibrant colors. They instantly put me in a good mood especially during those gloomy German winter days. Here's a fun rainbow birthday card that will hopefully brighten someone's day!
Whenever I have enough time I like to include little accents on the envelope that match the theme of the card:

DeleteAbsolutely love this card. Can you tell me how you did the gorgeous rainbow effect background please ?
ReplyDeleteThank you very much, Andrea :)
DeleteI made my own stencil for the rainbow by simply cutting an open triangle into some sturdy leftover cardstock. Then I placed the sharp edge of the triangle into the center of the card and blended my first distress ink color over my stencil. Next, I moved my stencil a few millimeters and blended a new color over it. I repeated that step multiple times over the entire card and made sure to overlap the colors.
I hope this makes sense, it's really difficult to describe ;) If I get a chance I will put together a mini tutorial with pictures for this technique and publish it here. Please check back in a few weeks!
