Heartstrings

This is my first attempt at the "Heartstings Die" by Concord & 9th. I can't wait to play around with it some more in the coming months. I will probably use it a lot for wedding cards and Mother's Day.

Rainbow Birthday

I love vibrant colors. They instantly put me in a good mood especially during those gloomy German winter days. Here's a fun rainbow birthday card that will hopefully brighten someone's day!

Whenever I have enough time I like to include little accents on the envelope that match the theme of the card:

Penelope's Blossoms

The "Penelope's Blossoms" stamp set by Lawn Fawn has the cutest small flowers and I have used it frequently to create my own patterned backgrounds. I wanted to give this card a vintage feel. That's why I gently smudged all the edges with brown distress inks. Here are two versions of the design:

Warm Winter Wishes

I'm a huge fan of stitched details on cards. After I had masked off the heart and stamped the woodgrain over the entire card front the background looked a little plain. That's when I decided to grab some red embroidery floss and make the heart stand out properly. It also gives a rustic feel to the scene which is exactly what I had in mind. If you look closely you will see that I made two versions. In the first one I used the woodgrain stamp with brown distress ink and the second one is stamped with white pigment ink. I wanted to try both inks on kraft and I think I like the brown ink better.

You Amaze Me

With Valentine's Day coming up, I thought it would be fun to share some love and friendship inspired cards over here this month. This first card features my beloved floral stamps from Create A Smile Stamps. I die cut a circle out of the large sunflower to create a shaker card.
