HALLO!

I'm back with another Magic Slider Card. This time I used products by Create A Smile Stamps. Love this type of cards although it still takes me forever to create them. I think this makes a great card for a kid's birthday.

Peonies

I love the multi-layered floral stamp sets by Altenew. Here I chose a purple color palette for the flowers and bright green tones for the leaves. The German sentiment says "For You".

A Tropical Birthday

When I was asked to make a card for someone who is going on a dreamy vacation for his 60th birthday I immediately thought of the "Comfy" stamp set by Create A Smile Stamps. It's very versatile and can be used for all kinds of occasions.

Henna Flowers

Altenew has some of the best floral stamps on the market in my view. These henna inspired flowers are stunning. I loved coloring them.

Happy Monsters

How cute are these little monsters? This card was so much fun to make. To start off I die cut a circle out of my background piece and used the 'Balloons in the sky' stamp set by Create A Smile Stamps on it. I blended some distress inks over the balloons and made sure to apply more pressure on the top of the card and less on the bottom for an ombre effect. Then I stamped the monsters onto the die cut circle and colored them with Copic markers. I put fun foam behind the balloon background for some dimension.

Mandala Love

I created these cards a few months ago when the Mandala stamp was released by Create A Smile Stamps. I can think of many more designs with this stamp but this is what I have come up with so far:

1. Ink Blending

I stamped and heat embossed the mandala with white embossing powder and then blended several distress inks over the stamped area. Eventually, I decided to cut out a triangle to break up the design and make room for a sentiment.

 2. Ink Smooshing

In the following examples I stamped and heat embossed parts of the mandala and different sentiments. Then I blended several distress inks on a sheet of acetate, sprayed water over it and smooshed the wet acetate onto my watercolor cardstock. This technique creates wonderful yet unpredictable looks. If you choose inks that blend together nicely you will always get beautiful results.

3. Coloring

I stamped and colored this mandala. Then I cut it out and put in on black cardstock. Love the contrasting bold colors.

Golden Leaves

This is a rather clean and simple birthday card for fall or winter with gold details on the leaves and a bold sentiment that stands out nicely against the kraft cardstock.

Ready For Some Magic?

This is the first Magic Slider Card I have ever made. It took a few hours and A LOT of patience to finish it but I'm glad I figured it all out and I'm sure you'll see this type of cards over here every now and then as I'm obsessed with that pop of color when the slider is pulled up.

HAPPY 2017!

I'm celebrating the beginning of 2017 with a sparkly New Year's card. I went for a bright blue distress ink background with a few droplets of water and opaque gold watercolors and kept the die cut elements in the same color scheme. Love this combination!
